Join Biology professor and bird bander Dr. Travis Wilcoxen for a hands-on session with birds! Birds will be safely captured in special nets, and marked with a band, and guests will be able to participate. Guests will learn about bird feather colors, food choices, and behavior. While waiting for more birds to enter the nets, Dr. Wilcoxen will also lead walks around the site to teach how to identify different birds by sight and sound. Binoculars are encouraged, but not required.
